Semi-permanent makeup removal is a safe, non-invasive treatment designed to fade or fully remove unwanted cosmetic tattoos, such as eyebrows, eyeliner, or lip colour. Using an advanced Nd:YAG laser, targeted light energy breaks down the pigments in the ink, allowing the body’s immune system to gradually eliminate them.
THE PROCESS
What the Treatment Involves:
During the session, a handheld Nd:YAG laser is applied to the treated area. The laser’s energy penetrates the skin, fragmenting the pigment without damaging surrounding tissue. The procedure is quick, typically taking 15–30 minutes depending on the area, and clients usually describe a mild stinging or snapping sensation. Knowing which pigments were used in the original PMU is helpful, as some inks respond better to certain wavelengths.
